Short answers about travelling to Uman and across Europe with Poyechali: routes, booking, payment and tickets.
What is Poyechali (PYCH)?
Poyechali, also known as PYCH, is a transport company serving Uman, Ukraine and destinations across Europe. We run scheduled lines for Rosh Hashanah and door-to-door private trips, and booking is done online on this website.
Which cities have transport to Uman for Rosh Hashanah?
For Rosh Hashanah, scheduled lines to Uman leave from Krakow, Warsaw and Rzeszow in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, Bucharest and Iasi in Romania, Chisinau in Moldova, Varna, Sofia and Burgas in Bulgaria, and Bratislava in Slovakia, with return lines from Uman to the same cities. This season's lines and prices are on the Rosh Hashanah price list.
What is the difference between a scheduled trip and a private trip?
A scheduled trip runs on a fixed route at fixed times, and you pay per seat for each passenger. A private trip is a vehicle for your group only, at any time and door to door, priced per vehicle by vehicle type and route.
How much does a trip to Uman cost?
On the scheduled Rosh Hashanah lines the price is per passenger seat and is listed for each line, to Uman and back, on the price list. Private trips are priced by vehicle type and route. The final price is shown when you book.
How do I book a trip?
Everything is done on the website, with no phone calls: choose a trip type and route, enter the passenger details and travel date, and pay online. The home page has a short video that walks you through it.
Which currency do I pay in? Can I pay in shekels?
Prices are set in US dollars. You can also pay in Israeli shekels, in which case the amount is converted from the dollar price.
Can I pay a deposit?
On some trips you can pay a deposit when booking and settle the balance later.
What passenger details do I need?
For each passenger: full name, name in English exactly as it appears in the passport, and passport number. You can photograph the passport to fill the details in automatically, but that is optional.
How do I get my ticket?
After payment the booking goes for confirmation, and the confirmation with your ticket is sent to you by email. You can also sign in to your personal area on the site to follow your bookings and tickets.
When should I leave Uman to make my flight?
It depends on the airport and the flight time. The site has a calculator that shows when to leave Uman by airport and departure time, and for Rosh Hashanah it allows for longer border waits. The hours are recommendations only, based on experience from previous years.
Is there a map of Uman?
Yes. The site has a Hebrew map of the area around the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov: transliterated street names, synagogues, hotels, the market and the pickup points for the night after Rosh Hashanah.
Can I book a private trip outside Rosh Hashanah?
Yes. Private trips are available all year round, to Uman and to other routes across Europe, at any time and door to door. If the route you need is not on the site, contact us.
How do I cancel a booking?
A booking that has not been paid yet can be cancelled by you from your personal area on the site. To cancel a paid booking, contact us — it is subject to the refund policy, and our support team handles any refund.
